The web-based resource that I found that would be helpful to me as a teacher is the Discovery School website. This website has many different tools that could be used in the classroom. There is a puzzlemaker where you can create your own crossword puzzles, math squares, or word searches. This website also has a worksheet generator where you can make worksheets or use ready-made worksheets that have been made by other teachers. There is also a quiz center that can be used by teachers to create, administer and grade quizzes online. The website also includes a lesson generator where teachers can make their own lesson plans or browse the lesson plan library for other teachers lesson plan ideas.I thought that this website would be a really helpful resource because not only does it help you create your own tools for teaching, but it also allows you to view the ideas of other teachers. For example, the lesson plan library is sorted by grade level and then subject so that teachers can easily find the kinds of lesson plans they want. They can then either uses the other teachers lesson plan or just use some of their ideas and modify others to create their own plan. This is the same with the worksheet generator. They have a lot of different templates to choose from, matching, multiple choice, fill in the blank, etc. You can also use other teachers' ready-made worksheets.I don't really have anything specific that I can think of that I want to learn, but I really enjoyed working/playing with Photoshop in my graphic design class. I have photoshop on my apple computer but have not used it very much. It is a really expensive program and I would like to get more use out of it so maybe learning more specific ways in which photoshop can be used might be helpful.Right now I am still debating whether or not I really want to go into education but everything that I have learned so far can help me in whatever field I do decide to go into. If I do choose education, I can use what I have learned to make powerpoints as well as other teaching techniques such as what we learned about the program inspiration to aid in my incorporation of technology into my teaching. Integrating technology into education in this way will be helpful because it will instill in the students a knowledge of the technology that is becoming so important in today's world.
